Installation of our Drum Pucturing Device
Step 1 - Once identified as being a safe approach, build a dike around the drum to contain any material that is spilled.
Step 2 - Install the cover over the drum.

Step 3 - Insert the puncturing tool into either the vapor or liquid release portal and use a hammer to drive it into the drum sidewall. Step 4 - Once the drum is punctured, tighten the packing gland and rotate the nipple, with the tool still inside, slightly to the right.

Step 5 - Allow the drum to vent until all internal pressure has been safely released.

Step 6 - Clean up the area. Use dike materials to absorb all of the spilled product. Remove and dispose of the cover. Patch or transfer the drum contents and place the drum inside an overpack drum.
